This Sunday the children will learn about David and Bathsheba. We will look at how all of our choices have consequences. “One day, late in the afternoon, David got up from his nap and went to the palace roof. As we move to the latter days of summer we see the change in season already happening before us. The fields are turning golden, farmers are harvesting their crops and baling hay for their stock; the rivers are full of activity, swimming, floating, and picnics on the beach; families are preparing for the upcoming school year. The Lord is good and rightly to be praised. Regular Sunday services have resumed at Second Church after a great time in the Lord at Talmaks. We will also resume our First Sunday of the Month Potlucks. Sunday, August 4th, we will have a bbq potluck; hamburgers will be provided. If you can please bring a side dish or condiments to go with the hamburgers. Worship/Communion Service 10:00 am Children's Sunday School/worship - 10:15 am BBQ in the fellowship hall - Noon Everyone is welcomed and invited to attend. Sunday, May 5th Second Church will welcome Katie Stark, Missional Expeditor for the Presbytery of the Inland Northwest. Rev. Dr. Mary Jane Miles will preside for Katie as she brings the Good Word. We also welcome back Rev. Miles after her sabbatical and trip to the Holy Land. This is also our first Sunday of the Month potluck lunch, which will be held in the dining hall following services. We look forward to this special spring celebration and invite and welcome all to attend. Isaiah 52:7 How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, "Your God reigns!"
